Sample email text:

To East Ayrshire Council,

I wish to register my opposition to the proposed closure of Sorn Primary School. I am concerned that there are plans to close Sorn school which has an excellent reputation for providing a consistantly high standard of education over many years. The reasons put forward for closure in your consultation paper I believe are flawed and do not reflect the position at Sorn.

The school is a central aspect of our community and its closure would have a detrimental impact not only on the education of our children but the village community as a whole.

2. Email other parties who may have an influence, below is a list of people and organisations please take a few minutes to email them and register your concerns about the planned closure of the school. We have listed some sample letters that you may find useful. Please feel free to amend or personalise the letters to reflect your own opinions.
